The 2011 SA Blog Awards held at Crystal Towers Hotel in Cape Town on 10 December 2011 turned out to be a fantastic occasion. The awards ceremony recognised and rewarded the best bloggers in South Africa.

We have extended the public vote confirmation period for a further 24 hrs. The public vote phase closed at midnight on 9 Nov. Some voters do still have to confirm their votes. This allows those that have not had a chance to confirm their votes a bit more time to do so. The confirmation response cut-off is midnight 11 Nov 2011.

The public vote phase went live on Monday night with South African bloggers receiving their vote badges. The SA Blog Awards website saw an astonishing 900 votes within the first three hours of this phase. By midday on Tuesday more than 6000 votes had been cast.

Bloggers who registered for this year’s blog awards have been sent their embed codes for their public vote badges to be placed on their blogs. Members of the public can vote for their favourite blogs by clicking on the vote badge.

Monday, 06 September 2010: Voting has commenced for the top 10 nominees in each of the 25 categories of this year’s SA Blog Awards supported by News24. With just over a week to go before the final voting phase closes on 17 September, the public is urged to continue casting their votes for their favourite blog.

Cape Town – News24 will be the headline sponsor when the annual SA Blog Awards take place on September 25 in Cape Town.
JP Naude, Cape Town businessman and radio personality, will be taking over as CEO for the awards which are in their fifth year.
"Having News24 on board will help us take the awards to a new level," said Naude. "Last year alone, the event attracted more than 5 000 blog nominations and over 100 000 individual votes.
